HOW THE CIGAR OASIS ULTRA WORKS
The unique design of the CIGAR OASIS ULTRA is unequaled by anyone with a flow pattern and
sealing valves that make it possible, so that you only use water when the humidity drops below the
set point, thus extending life of the cartridge. It is microprocessor based with a digital display and
audible and visible alarms. It uses a calibrated sensor that senses the humidity and based on your
set point, the unit will add humidity when it drops below the set point to bring it up to the desired
humidity. The humidity is preset at our factory at 70% and may be adjusted up or down by pressing
the arrows £ for up ¥ for down.
OPERATING ON AC POWER
When unit is plugged in on line power, the unit runs continuously and measures and displays the
humidity continuously. If you want to turn off the display you may press the mode button . and the
display will turn off and vice versa. In this mode of operation, the system responds faster because
it is operating all the time.

ALARM INDICATIONS
The CIGAR OASIS ULTRA has a built-in audible and visual alarm to indicate when your batteries are
low or distilled water is running out. When either condition arises, a beep will sound intermittently.
This alert then needs to be confirmed by pressing the ¤ button and the display will flash either LO
for low battery or H2O for low water.
FILLING OR REFILLING YOUR CARTRIDGE
The Best way to refill the cartridge is to soak it in a bowl of distilled water for 4 minutes. When
time’s up, take it out and let it stand on the counter another 2 minutes. Then, turn it over the sink
and let any loose water drain out. Dry off the top of it and snap it back together on the control
water. There must be NO LOOSE visible water anywhere.
Note that the cartridge may be refilled several times, but you will not that it will not last as long as
the previous time. The reason for this is that the molecular structure of the foam breaks down and
reduces the capacity to absorb the distilled water. Further, the water cartridge is treated with an
anti-fungal agent which is also consumed over time.
